There are two ways in which you can chat with your online buddies. |

Tapping here will take you back to your Buddy List Screen. When you want to return to a particular buddy's IM screen, just tap on his/her nickname or use the 'Active Sessions' list to jump to a particular IM session. |

| Quick Text |

Tapping on the icon will open up a list of text messages that are frequently used during chats. Just select the phrase you want to send. But that's not all. You can edit these phrases to suit your style by going to Edit Quick Text and tapping on 'Edit'. |

If there are specific phrases that you use regularly, then you can save them for future chats. Tap on the 'New' option in the 'Edit Quick Text' menu, type in the phrase(s). They will be saved. |

| Emoticons |

The Smiley icon opens up a list of emoticons that you can use to make your chats more lively and exciting. |

| Message Notification |

If while chatting with a particular buddy, you receive a message from another online buddy, this icon will flash at the top right corner of your IM screen. Tapping on this icon will take you to the appropriate IM Screen. |

This drop down list lets you switch between active IM sessions / open IM windows. |
